This sample Menu is descriptive of the type of meals you can expect while on an Alaska Cruise aboard the Discovery. We've always felt that the cuisine was a very important part of our Alaska Cruise and will make every effort to make sure the food is as rewarding and memorable as is your Alaska Cruise. MV Discovery
First Course Garlic Bread Soup A mild garlic cream soup thickened with French bread.
Second Course Spinach Salad Fresh baby spinach tossed with a marionberry-rieling vinaigrette with slices of bosc pear, candied walnuts and crumbles of blue cheese.
Main Course- Entree Cantonese Salmon A pan-seared filet of salmon over a bed of wasabi mashed potatoes and topped with Chinese creamed spinach. Tuna Del Cabo A pepper crusted filet of yellow fin tuna seared to medium rare and topped with tequila citrus salsa, set over steamed rice and surrounded by sautéed vegetables. Mojo Pork Tender bits of braised pork shoulder in a tropical coconut-white wine sauce and lemon-cumin sautéed green beans over a bed of herbed rice. Steak a la Francais Lean strips of beef sirloin in a red wine-demi sauce over garlic mashed potatoes with brussel sprouts blanched with sea salt.
Dessert Grand Marnier Pudding Parfait a layered parfait of fresh pudding made with grand Marnier liqueur and angel food cake
